Annual survey of more than 3,700 policyholders reveals insurance companies we love
Foster City, CA – February 18, 2021 – Today, Insure.com releases its annual list of the Best Insurance Companies for 2021. Each year, the site ranks the top auto, home, health and life insurance companies by surveying policyholders about their satisfaction with their current insurer. Insure.com’s team of experts, with more than 35 years of combined industry experience, also identify who has the best insurance for various homeowner and driver profiles and those looking for specific customer service features.

- Auto-Owners: Best car insurance company for customer happiness
- Progressive: Best auto insurance company for young adults and college students
- State Farm: Best home insurance company overall
- American Family: Best home insurance company for customer satisfaction

- Kaiser Permanente: Best health insurance company
This is the ninth year the comprehensive resource for insurance information has released these rankings. More than 3,700 customers were asked about pricing, claims, customer service, website, app, willingness to recommend their insurer and whether they plan to renew their policy. Penny Gusner, the site’s senior consumer analyst, also provides consumers tips on how to buy the best insurance coverage for their needs.
This year, State Farm is named the best company for home and auto coverage. It earned high marks for its handling of claims and great customer service. Plus, more than nine out of 10 policy holders say they would renew. The experts say special discounts, coverage offerings and cheaper liability and full coverage auto policies helped it earn the top spots.

Methodology
Insure.com commissioned Op4G to survey more than 3,700 insurance customers nationwide. Companies did not pay to be included, and all analysis is independent and editorial.
